Could very well be. But one thing I noticed is that the PS3 has much better grip prior to warming up than PSS. For short distance travel (reside on HK island), my experience is that PS3 holds better than PSS. But for longer distance travel where the tyres have a chance to warm up, no doubt the PSS will have better grip!
