I have a GT scheduled for delivery in Munich late April. Where I live, we tend to use a lot of sand and gravel on the roads in the winter. I generally opt for the factory mudflaps, but haven't (yet?) ordered them from the factory (don't know if they will do it or have the dealer install once I get it back to the USA?). But, was wondering if anyone has them, and how well they work at keeping crud off the paintwork behind the wheels. If you were able to buy them from the factory, what was the cost? It appears they may need to be painted, if you don't like the base coat (?). The price implies installation is extra cost.
