Imperial Gallon = 4.54 L
US Gallon = 3.79 L
37 mpg US = 44.4 mpg UK... as the previous post said.
It begs the question, why is the 335d so "inefficient" compared to these engines? The UK 335d is listed at 42 mpg UK combined. The UK mpg cycle must be very generous. The US mpg of 27 converted to UK mpg is only 32, not even close to the state value of 42 mpg UK.
