I have a 2012 bmw 528i and looking to install Apple CarPlay into my car. I have checked with

I came across following kit and contacted the manufacturer in China who indicated after checking VIN, dashboard pictures, etc. that this kit will work in my car. It is by Unichip also available on Amazon. Here's the video of installation:

I am located in Southern California. I will appreciate if you can let me know if this will be possible to get CarPlay to work in my car with one of the kits and not spending $$$.
