It is always difficult, but more often then not, it is in their best interest. My condolences, I know how hard it is. We had to put down two dogs within a year of each other. It took us about a year to move on and decide that it was time to start over. Just 3 weeks ago we got our second inside a year and it is so wonderful to have two puppies in the house again. All the best in your time of loss.
