Just dropped off my 2012 550i for the service. The SA called it a "Recall" but it shows up on the printout as two separate "
Service Campaign" actions. Looks like they'll end up checking everything on the list and replacing what's required. The SA said it could be at least 3 to 4 days. My car is a lease due back to them in six months (actually, a few weeks since they're waiving my last six payments) so I suspect they'll replace everything.
In the meantime, they were out of cars so they referred me to Enterprise for a car of
"equal or higher class" as stated in the bulletin. When I got to Enterprise, they offered me this red thing. Needless, to say, I called back and got approval for a 328i. Still no where near equal to a 550i but at least I don't lose any of my daily functionality. I'm 6'3 220 -- really, a red bug?
