You need a charge pipe, down pipe is good, intercooler upgrade usually, and definitely go with a an ECU TUNE! I've had 3 JB4's on previous F30's and F10's and N55 engines. To me it was like kissing my sister.
It's a cheap way to go but from my experience I finally listened to my tech.
My current N55, 335xi has now 370HP from 300 and 500 tq from 300. He said the exhaust set up contributed significantly to the output. I did have the CP, DP (catless) and straight pipe set up. Wagner intercooler as well. Hands down this is the most I've ever had with a tune. Keep in mind this is obviously just scratching the surface as a beginner. I only run 93.
The pull is continuous and constant which is a blast! It's well worth the money imo!
