Hello Eire! Most brands would likely advise against it. Often, I've heard the argument of different characteristics. Personally, I would buy a new set of PS3s.

I am very, very familiar with the roads there. I have family in Offaly and Kildare. If you frequent the dual carriage ways, you should be ok with the combo you mentioned. However, you plan to rally on the back roads, I would stick with the same model tire.

On the back roads of the midlands, I've dealt with black ice, sheep, and misc. road debris. Some roads are very tight, and have no margin for error. I wouldn't want a tire "characteristic" issue be cause of meself ending up in the ditch.
