JuniorB,

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I am currently at work so i will have to perform these steps as soon as I get home.

I just want to summarize your reply so that i can be sure that I understand.

1. Disconnect the negative cable on the battery
2. With the negative cable disconnected, I should plug in the OBD and clear all the codes?
3. I should then plug the negative cable back in and charge the battery.
4. Turn the car on and see what error codes pop back up.

If the above is correct, here are my 2 questions.
1. Can i do a scan of the error codes with the negative battery disconnected?
2. I received a "low battery" warning only once, and it happened after I turned the car on for the first time after it sat for 3 weeks. I went and had the battery tested at AutoZone and they said it was at 12.6 amps and 70% charged. I drove the car around for 1.5 hours on the highway and had the battery tested 2 days later and it was at 100%. In terms of charging the battery, will I need to take it somewhere to have it charged or will it still have a 100% charge once i plug the negative cable back in?

Sorry for the long reply. I am car illiterate but I have nowhere near the funds that BMW will try to charge me to fix all this stuff.
