In my never ending research on this topic, I've become concerned about a point that doesn't seem to be brought up much when doing brake upgrades- WEIGHT! My stock 530d front rotors are 10.6kg each. The X6M rotors are 17.2kg each! On the rear, the 550i rotors are 8.7kg, compared to 7.3kg for my stock ones, which seems like a more reasonable weight increase.

My 530d already has uninspiring acceleration, so I'm slightly concerned that adding 15.4kg of unsprung, rotational weight is going to kill acceleration even more. Can anyone comment on this from experience?

At 16kg each, upgrading to the F85/86 M front rotors, which are 2-piece cross-drilled, only saves 1.2kg from the E70/71 M rotors.
