The come in black plastic. they aren't painted nor are they supposed to be painted.

I'm handy, and retired, so I think I'll try it myself. I'll have to look, but it appeared they were body color on the website...maybe it was just on a black car...I don't remember. That would save some cost if you didn't have to paint them, but I think they might look better body color.
