I thought the same thing, and I bought E63 M6 Muffles for my F10 535i, but I wanted to use Cyba Double Layer Black Chrome Quad Tips on them. The problem is the M6 Mufflers have two individual outlets and the Cyba Tips have one inlet and dual outlets, so they cant be used. (I still have the M6 Mufflers is my garage if anyone is interested in them.)

I ended having a muffler shop cut the OEM mufflers near flush at the muffler, and the Cyba tips near flush at the inlet, and it fits perfect. I am using an OEM 550i Diffuser, and the tips do not stick out too far from the rear bumper as I have seen on some.
