I call live with fault codes that I know aren't serious. My car currently has ceramic controls but I have no clue if the donor vehicle where the NBT Evo HU came from does. As long as it functions, I'm good.

For example, a 1-4 series doesn't offer ceramic controls so if you put in the idrive control from a 5-7 series, it will have that error but it won't do any harm. It will still work. You will only see the fault code when you run ista, bimmercode, etc.
