I can't stand the feeling of inflated mid-range with a severe drop-off at high RPM. That's what tuned stock turbos feel like. Also, F series aftermarket pricing is still very much over-inflated at the moment. You pay $40 more for a single N55 downpipe with a basic V-band, 2 O2 bungs, 2 bends and 2 welds compared to N54 downpipes which is two and includes 2 cast inlets, several bends, several welds, 4 O2 bungs, 2 flanges, gaskets and bolts. The N55 downpipe would cost less than half to produce but the vendors charge more than N54 downpipes. Turbos are the same. You can get 2x N54 Stage 2 turbos for less than 1x N55 Stage 2 turbo. There is more competition coming which should mix things up and bring prices down.
