Well, it should gradually go away with regeneration... Here's what ISTA says:

1. Check oil level and change interval. Correct oil level or change oil.

2. Check swirl flaps.

3. Perform exhaust gas pressure check

4. Check diesel particulate filter (visual inspection to see if exhaust tailpipe and diesel particulate filter outlet sooty).

5. Perform regeneration. Only possible with constant-speed driving for at least 30 min. (The regeneration cannot be stopped with the corresponding service function for this fault).

6. Check intake ports and intake valves for sooting. Excessive oil entry from the crankcase ventilation can lead to sooting, especially with short-distance driving.
