I'll concede that frequency matters-the sensors are not hardwired to the vehicle. However, I was trying to point out that my newer F10 sees the old TPM sensors (so presumably they are of the same frequency), but the older sensors do not transmit pressure data to the vehicle. So it's assumed that sensors differ beyond just frequency. There must be complementary software in the TPM sensors and vehicle, so all data is transferred.
