Firstly, what is the dealer saying? Is your engine toast? yes, and definitely push for BMW to cover fully since you are so close to the warranty? When was the vehicle in-service date? You could be within the 7 years.
Let them come back to offer you a deal. you should keep pushing for full coverage by BMW
