Firstly, what is the dealer saying? Is your engine toast? yes, and definitely push for BMW to cover fully since you are so close to the warranty? When was the vehicle in-service date? You could be within the 7 years.

I will definitely push. Dealer isn't saying anything yet. You really think they'll work with me? Service date is 4/2012. So I think I'm in!
