The problem with Spa is that it provides a miserable 'fan experience'. If you just go for the race (Sunday) with a friend, it's a 1200+ Euro day out not including accommodation (right now €1 =1$). You'll get treated badly by the people who work there. Police, ticket collectors, food venders, security, it doesn't matter what their job is, Sunday is day 3 of dealing with thousands of people and they are (most likely soaking wet), tired, and pissed off.

If you want to get close to the cars while they are stationary, you need to bring a long telephoto lens or good binoculars. As a regular, 550 Euro ticket holder, you will not be able to get anywhere close to the cars or the drivers before or after the race. If you have a main straight grandstand ticket, you can get some pics of the cars in the pit lane and the odd driver if you are lucky enough / quick enough.

I’m pretty sure if you can afford a VIP “package” (€€€€) like the Formula One Paddock Club you’ll have a great time but the only other way is to be a guest of a team or a guest of a sponsor.

I’ve been going to Spa for years but my last trip was back in May for the 6 Hours Sports Car Race and I swore it would be my last time!

I’m looking forward to the race but I’ll be watching on TV!

I don’t have any F1 pics handy but here are some Sports Car shots.
I can't say I'm totally surprised at that but for sure the people who work there probably have to just try harder and the inclement weather can play a part in it so I'm praying for some good weather on race day.
F1 is now so crazy priced for fans that the older stalwarts who supported it through all the previous years have been priced out for a new ''well off'' kind of crowd that doesn't know a lot about F1 and it goes with the premier football match tickets also, the competitors there are paid far too much with one network company having a stranglehold on the tv rights.
I have heard traffic getting to the race is a real problem too so the last thing the paying fans want after a long drive there is getting indifferent treatment from the course staff and it's up to the management to sort it.
Great pics by the way.
