This just saved me a bunch of $$.
I just picked up a 2015 535i and was about to pay the dealer for map updates. I downloaded the Next North America 2019-1 map, put it on a USB drive and instead of messing with FSC genenerators, CAT5 cables, I just paid $9 on Ebay for a Lifetime FSC code.
The update process was really simple. Plugged in the USB drive and the install began. Took about 30 mins.
