IIRC, the E39 M5 came out as a 1999 model. In 2001, the facelift model came out and was sold until 2003.
The E60 M5 came out as a 2005 model (in Europe)
(2006 for North America). In 2008, the facelift model came out and was sold until 2010.
So....here we are we with the F10 M5...
The F10 M5 came out as a 2012 model (in Europe & Canada)
(2013 for the United States). So if a facelift model comes as a 2014 model, it actually makes sense!
