'11 550i xdrive Msport burning oil
I bought my '11 in September this year. I have now added my fourth quart of oil in less than 4000 miles. Car is super clean, spotless Carfax. Went to local BMW dealer and service rep told me 750 miles is normal for adding oil. Really? Then why is the service interval 15k? How do you reconcile that piece of twisted irony? I think this is likely a design or manufacturing defect because it is not normal for the car to burn that much oil. Are there any mechanics out there that agree?
