Is the 535d a M Sport, if not keep looking as this package is a must imo...
It's a very reliable engine though, not heard of any significant failures. The one major consideration is that the glow plugs (and possibly the control unit) need changing from 50k miles onwards. These can get stuck and if one breaks getting them out you're looking at a big bill to get this sorted
