It's not mechanical, it's direct injection. It's been written by a PR person who has no idea what they are talking about.
I see a big turbo one side and a small turbo the other side, so it's either a staged system or it's compound, depending on how it's hooked up. Either the small turbo gives the low down grunt and the big turbo takes over at higher rpm, or the big one pumps into the small one for very high boost levels. Our funnybike uses the second method (compounding) and makes 900hp out of 1500cc.
All that guff about space rockets and the charge air pipe, boost valve and fan being deleted is just nonsense. You can see these items in the photos.
