Get the PC7424 (I have it and it came with the wrench, counter weight and backing plate), a couple of cutting pads, a couple of polishing pads, a cutting polish (like Meguires 105 or the Menzerna equivalent) a finishing polish (like Meguires 205 or Menzerna equivalent) and your favorite polish/wax. That should save some money. I get my microfiber cloths at Costco. For polish I am a HUGE fan of Zaino (www.zainobros.com). It goes on and off very easily and, more importantly, LASTS! With a few coats on I have driven through rain and just needed to use my California Duster and some quick detailer to get the car clean (granted I didn't drive through muddy conditions). I keep trying new products but keep returning to Zaino.

I have NO financial interest in Zaino I just like it that much!

I agree with ezaircon4jc , I would get Megrim's 105/205 and for wax I HIGHLY recommend getting Collinite 845. It's an amazing product; people say it's like mixture of a wax and sealant because of its properties and a little bit of product goes a long way! Also I recommend browsing and asking for advice on www.reddit.com/r/AutoDetailing . That's where I went for advice. I was on the same boat and thinking about getting the Harbor Freight DA but after reviews and opinions, I forked up extra cash and got the Griot's Garage DA polisher. The main reason was because of the LifeTime warranty it provided so I know I'd be safe in the long run. Chemical Guys products are great, but I lean more towards Meguir's for compound/polish and Collinite for wax.
