Having lived in Munich 4 years, my suggestions:
1. Spend at least one day in Munich. Beautiful pedestrian zone, great food.
2. Take the A8 autobahn toward Saltzburg. It is 6 lanes half of the way and if you have an F10 type car, easy to hit 150 mph. 2/3 of the way is the Chiemsea, a lake with a castle on it. Continue to Saltzburg Austria if you have time.
3. Take the A93 autobahn south to Garmish Partenkirchen. Beautiful German town. Go west to Neuschwanstein and back to Munich.
