I cross shopped a CX-5 with a VW Golf Alltrack for my daughter. Two terrific vehicles, IMHO, for the price. A difficult choice. My daughter ended up selecting the VW because of the lower height and six year warranty.
The VW is a true unicorn. I have yet to see another and they are going to stop making/selling it at the end of this year. Highly rated by both Consumer Reports AND Car & Driver. Check it out. It is available with either a manual or an automated manual (DCT).
