I bought the OEM M Sport trim piece from my local BMW dealer (Part # 32337841892). I have paddle shifters and the screws in the above video are covered up, so I didn't even attempt to take them off. I did this using a small door panel pry tool. You have to start from the bottom of the steering wheel and work your way up to the top sides. There's no screws, just rubber inserts where the back of the new trim piece fit into. It was challenging without removing the airbag, but the plastic pieces are very forgiving and flexible. I had to very slightly bend a few of the plastic pins in the trim piece to go right into the rubber steering wheel backing.
