First disconnect the negative cable from your battery for an hour. After an hour has elapsed you can remove the air bag using a small screw driver. There is a small hole on the back and underneath the bottom of the steering wheel. Insert the screw driver, push up and it will release. Then you have to disconnect two wires on the inside once you've popped it out. You can see videos on youtube the shows exactly what I just explained for more clarity.
It took about an hour to complete, but that was because I had to swap over the control buttons. It take about 20 minutes to swap the steering wheel if your control buttons are already in the new steering wheel. |
