cannot code headlight

Looking for advice. I replaced the control module on the bottom and the other module at the back of the headlight unit. It had condensation in it and the low beam stopped working. As soon as I plugged the repaired unit in it lit up and started flashing.

I thought I would have to code it and both ISTA+ and bimmerlink say they cannot communicate with it. But, it all works fine. I'd like to fix whatever the diagnostics say is wrong but I don't know how. Apparently they believe the headlight is not connected to the bus, but it works. Should I just leave well enough alone?
