528i xenon light upgrade
Hi, I have a 528i with halogen light..no xenon lamp
When i checked the box "daylight running lamp", the white LED lamps circling the corona rings do not light on...only small voltage of halogen lamp gets lighted on Is it true that if i upgrade to xenon package i will have the LED lamps running in daylight?? Is the xenon upgrade possible after buying the car? Thanks |

I've been asking the same question ever since I got my F10 regretting not getting xenon headlights. I don't think there's anything you can do about that except to rewire the DRLs so that instead of the ugly low voltage halogen lights go on, the coronas would light up (although very much dimmer than the xenon headlight coronas)
As far as the dealers are concerned there is no retrofitting or upgrading from halogen to xenon headlights once the car is built. Another upgrade you could do for your halogen headlight F10 is upgrade the turn signals to LED and get rid of the nasty egg yolk at the same time. Hope this helps. |

Read some of the coding forums (http://www.**************/forum.php) as I believe the DRL behavior can be reprogrammed to the rings.
