F10 washed and polished
Another glorious day up here, car washed and polished - not looking too bad after 6.5k miles of daily use throughout a Scottish winter.
Really glad I opted for white - boring it might be, but the stone chips on the bonnet would look horrendous against a darker colour. |

If you think about how long it takes to just remove and refit one wheel, then multiply that by 4 and add on the cleaning, polishing and sealing time, the hours soon add up. Then there's the time taken in washing and polishing the car on top of that.
And seeing as I'm British, there were several cups of tea involved as well . |

Please tell me what polish you use. I have no clue about detailing and am afraid to go near the paint with off the shelf products I know nothing about. Any info appreciated.

Werkstat Acrylic Jett. Very easy to use - spray on/wipe off and it doesn't leave any residue on rubber or plastic. It leaves the surface with an extremely slick finish which lasts for several weeks.
If your car isn't new I'd recommend an application of Werkstat Acrylic Prime before the Jett spray. The Prime deep cleans and polishes the paint and the Jett protects the finish. Some good advice here: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...-products.html |

Do you put them in the dishwasher? Just kidding - but is it really worth the effort? Cheers |

It's a bit like using furniture polish - very easy and it takes no more than 30 minutes to do the whole car. My bi-annual 'Prime' application takes a bit longer as it has to be worked in and allowed to dry before hand buffing, but you can comfortably do the job in well under 2 hours. |
