new F10, nav question
I have put some money down on a f10 520d M, it’s a late 11’ with the toys I was after and the numbers are really attractive. The colour combo was not what I was after but I think I can work with it (imperial blue/oyster).
I am waiting to for an insurance claim to clear (my e90 was nicked recently from outside my house) and then I will complete the purchase. One thing I have noticed, the pro nav on the f10 has recently been upgraded and I’m wondering how much of a difference it will be and if it is just a simple software upgrade. Anyone clued up on this ? |

Personally I love the Blue / Oyster combo and this is from some one who always had black and black leather!
The Pro Nav was updated from July 12 build and has a nicer interface and some cool Eco pro apps. Not sure what else changed? As far as I know the old version can't simply be upgraded. |

I cant speak for pro-nav, but I was recently charged £250 to upgrade business nav to 2013 software as part of a warranty (!!!!!) repair in an attempt to cure the lethal mis-directions randomly served up by my BMW F10 sat nav.
Complete waste of money. Stick with what you've got. It if it works for you, be happy. An example of mis-direction, would be to turn right through a gap in the central reservation and immediately turn left, NOW. The road in question has been there for around 20 years, so BMW cant blame a mapping error. This is not an isolated example. |

Just make sure as part of the deal you get them to upgrade the Sat Nav software to the 2013 version. And Imperial Blue is an awesome colour!
