With IAS, I estimate I can do a U-turn at a stop light within 1.5 lanes on the other side of the street. Does it easily within 2 lanes. Maybe one lane with a wide shoulder.

4 wheel steering is not a particularly new tech. It does reduce the turning radius of the car.
