BMW Configurator at bmw.de
With those who have access to the price configuration at BMW.de; does it confirm the increase in horsepower and torque for the 2013 550i? This should be under the summary section, specifying 445HP and 500 torque.
I've already ordered my 2013 550i ED but my dealer can't confirm the reports for the increase in engine size. Thanks. Last edited by pakman85; 07-22-2012 at 12:46 PM.. |

Looks like only 550i GT (F07), 650i and 750i gets the new 450hp/650Nm engine, while 550i F10, X5/X6 xDrive 50i are stuck on 407hp/600Nm.

While I won't be buying a 550i for the fuel economy, it would be nice to get better milage. Here are the consumption numbers between the new engine in the GT and the old engine in the sedan. Too bad the new motor won't make it into the sedan....
550i GT: City consumption in l/100 km 13.1 Extra-urban in l/100 km 7.6 Combined in l/100 km 9.6 Sedan: City consumption in l/100 km 16.4 Extra-urban in l/100 km 7.9 Combined in l/100 km 11 |
