IPOD Music
I am unable to play all my ITunes music in my 2010 528 built prior to Oct 2010. I have it connected via USB cable. I have heard you can play it but only the non-DRM music.
If my IPOD is connected which is an authorized device, why can't I play all the songs. II can understand if I had the music on a flash drive.. But, it's all on an authorized Apple device. Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thannks |

I'm probably not much help on this as I'm a BlackBerry adict but I believe ther was an Apple Y connector that was required in the pre-combobox vesions of the F10 to play the iPod.

I have my IPOD connected with the genuine Apple USB cable. Which one is the Y connector?
I can play non DRM protected songs without a problem. I just want to be able to play the entire collection of songs. I am not trying to bypass the DRM restrictions, the songs are on the IPOD which is an authorized use of the songs. Just wondering why I cant play them and or am I doing something wrong. |

It connects to aux and USB at BMW side, and 30 pin connector on iPod side. Maybe try that and see if it works. This is the "y" cable. |

No I don't use that, had never seen one. All I use is the usb cable and with that alone I am able to play all the non DRM music on my IPOD. Do you think that connector would bypass the DRM songs and allow them to be played?
