Jack and Jack points
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a decent jack please that works with the F11?
Do you guys jack the car from the sill jack points or with a trolley jack in the centre? Thanks.

Thanks, I bought a SGS 2.5 Ton low profile one and some 4 ton axle stands a few weeks ago. Not had chance to use it yet due to constant rain and me being away for the week just before Xmas.
Even though low profile, I think I'll still need to run the car up onto bricks to get to the front centre jack point - it is a long way back from the front of the car and very low down with not much road clearance on M sport suspension.

The 2.5 ton SGS low profile trolley jack is ample to lift the car from the centre engine jack point so that both front wheels are lifted off the floor at the same time. I did it yesterday and it works a treat. I did run the car up onto two house bricks under the front wheels so I could see exactly where the centre jack point is for visibility. You do not need to do this though; the jack will reach without the bricks if you already know exactly where the centre jack point is (and I didn't). I then put axle stands (also SGS) under the two front sill jack points in case the trolley jack lowered accidentally or suffered an hydraulic leak. However, it did not move a single mm in two hours. I'm very impressed with this jack.
I have also jacked up from the sill points too, front and rear. I have not jacked the centre rear from the diff though, I'd rather not do that and there is no job really that I need to have the whole rear jacked up. I would do if there was a more sensible rear jacking point but I do not like the idea of jacking by the diff.
