Selling to 'We Buy Any Car'
Has anyone dealt with the above company?
I'm getting a new 640i in a few weeks and I could get at least £1.3k more by seeling direct as opposed to a trade-in with BMW. Just wondered how secure the cash transfer would be. Ant advice much appreciated - thanks. |

Thanks, good to know they're trustworthy.
I'll give them a try just before I take delivery of the new car and if they try knocking too much off the online appraisal I'll just take the existing offer I've had from my dealer. |

I sold my 9 month old Fiesta St to them and had no problem, got £1000 more than Audi dealer offered against a £22000 car. I was happy with the process took about 45 minutes.
Be aware ANY damage will reduce the posted price. Each wheel that has kerbing mark, no mater how small will mean around £90 of the offered price as is any stone chips to the bodywork. Check web as many places advertise price better than WBAC, such as "WeWantAnyCar.com" |

Why don't you try a private ad, you will most likely eke out another £1k easily...

Yes, I certaily considered doing so and did it many times in my youth. However, with the way of things as they are these days, I don't think I'd be happy with a total srtanger turning up on my doorstep, let alone driving my car.

I don't let them drive the car unless they turn up with proof of insurance (appreciate this is third party but puts prospectors off imo) also I find that you can generally screen and assess people over the phone in the initial conversation about the car. If I'm dubious I generally tend to tell them the car has been sold.

I've used them with no problems. Agreed the price, they came and collected, money was in my bank account.
If thy give a decent price I'd use them again. |

I sold my late wife's car through them. No problems whatsoever. The money comes through about a week later.
I'd echo what they say, the price they give on the online estimator tool assumes the car is immaculate. You can expect them to chip off a few quid. To give you an example my wife's Toyota Corolla was estimated at £3600 on the online tool and I got £3200 for it when they had seen it in person.

Would you say (gut feel) that knocking 400 off was fair in your case? It's just that it seems to me that they can't honestly expect a sub-4k car to be like new. I'd rather they quoted what they typically pay. They have this information readily available.

I didn't realise they ask questions like "Are there any scuffs on the alloy wheels?" I assumed they were more generic than that. Fair enough if you say there are no stone chips when you actually have some.
