Huge mpg loss/front end grinding fixed
Hey guys they finally fixed my front end grinding after 6 tries(see my other posts) with a software update but now my city mpg has dropped from 18 to 15 I noticed the drop immediately and have even driven extremely light but still the milage sucks... Also the exhaust sounds different and the idle is rough is anyone else having the same problems?

My ride was with the dealer 3 days ago for a software update coz I couldn't get the Blackberry Torch 9800 to activate the Office functions. I was informed that they would have to update almost the entire suite of software and not just the bluetooth.
I do also noticed a higher fuel consumption and poorer throttle response after the s/w update - the car feels laggy and heavier somehow. The bluetooth Office function did not work and I was wondering if they could put the old suite of software back?

Not saying this is definately the issue, but I know the auto box learns your driving style and adapts accordingly, and I've heard on here that there may have been issues with new cars where throttle response is poor from new, due to it being in a default mode.
Wondering if you guys have had the same issue following a firmware upgrade which I would guess as a software guy would have reset the box back to defaults. I tend to just potter around most of the time, the box has definitely dropped into max economy mode so soft throttle response and really late shifts up/early down. On occasion I'll give it some beans on a nice road, and it does take quite a while to realise there's not a 70 year old driving. After it's had a thrash the throttle response improves for a while until it just gives up on me and drops back to grandad mode. I'm assuming you guys are working it hard, so I'm not suggesting its something as simple as that... I did see something in another thread on here with a way to reset the box by running through a specific process, which some people had said improved throttle response.
