ACC retrofit list of exact part numbers
Before retrofitting the surround view option, I thought once I was done with it that would be it, I would stop right there. But 2 weeks later, I found myself looking for ways to add ACC because I use cruise control a lot and having the system maintain the distance while making sure to go back to the set speed as soon as possible looks very interesting to me. So I've gathered the parts I think I would need but not sure if the list is complete(Mine is a one with M Sports Package):
My questions are: 1. Does this list miss anything? 2. What is the part number for the sensor wire? maybe I need to build it on my own? 3. Where do I tap that wire? |

I was under the impression that you needed the KAFAS2 camera etc. installed to have ACC and the retrofit for that requires a new windscreen, unless you already have that?
And a calibration at a dealership, but maybe it's possible to do that at home? |

Yes, I've just realised that I need Kafas and yes I don't have it. I'd love to install Kafas because it gives you lots of new opportunities but replacing the windacreen ia what keeps me from wanting it.
So sad to have to cancel the project |

Yeah I'm in the same boat, very expensive to sort. Shame really!

Your list is complete. You just need to build your own and run wires. Not many wires so it’s pretty easy. I have all of the parts and plan to do it once my schedule is better.
I did retrofit KAFAS2 previously. It’s not terrible. Most expensive part was the windscreen. |

Ah, then it means the Kafas is for Lane Departure Warning, which seems to kind of be offered in conjuction with ACC in F10s. In other words, in F10, if you have ACC, you surely have LDW as well. Is that correct?

I retrofitted ACC in my e70. Wiring harness can be built by following the BMW wiring diagrams. The connector is also not hard to get for the ACC Radar. I don't believe ACC requires LDW or Kafas. My e70 has neither but the front radar is essentially the same as F10.

True, I'm not sure if the computer is going to complain, as it seems ACC and Kafas are bound to each other. We'll wait and see what others have to say about this |
