Comfort access open sound when already open

Hi

I have the Comfort access, and the other day I noticed a strange behaviour.

When the car is open and you touch an doors, it gives a klik sound as though it has not registeret that the car is already open.

I have mentioned this to my dealer, but even though they didnŽt have a car with comfort access their reply was that this is by design.

Any one noticed this strange behaviour? In my old car this worked as expected. When the car was open = no more sound when touching the doors.

Cool - looking forward to you findings :-)

Btw do your locking work as expected everytime?

I wear robber shoes and have problems with looking the doors every time. It works on and off. Most of the time I have to press 2 times. Again in my old car it just worked as expected (same shoes).

Occasionally, CA doesn't respond to my touch either. It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes won't respond. I got the same behavior with my '07 335i I had before the 535i. I don't know why it doesn't respond every once in a while. I doubt it has anything to do with your shoes.

Mine works perfect - but I have the same click sound when I touch any door handle with car opened with CA.

Mine works fine. A question though. When I stop the car and want to get out, I have to pull on the INSIDE handle twice, once to unlock the door the 2nd to open the door. Is this normal?

Yes, that's BMW standard behavior.
