Exclamation What is causing my A/C Compressor Clutch to fail?

My A/C Compressor clutch failed on my oem denso and replaced it with a Reman unit from fourseasons.... That failed on me aswell. Same issue the rubber between the clutch and pulley just melted.

This indicate debris have clogged your AC system. When the compressor fails, there is a high chance that tiny metal is floating in your AC system. It is recommended to flush all lines to get rid of debris then replace condenser and expansion valve to get rid of those debris completely. This is why when you take it to a shop, they always quote an entire AC system because they don’t want to deal with repairing it again.

Thank you soo much for the info! I went ahead and ordered all the parts I would need from rockauto. Denso compressor, and csf condenser with new Desiccant Bag Kit and nissen expansion valve, all the valve kit and o rings
Also bought a a/c manifold and vaccum. So my plan is to use the air compressor (has a dryer on it) and blow out all the hoses while i replace these 3 elements.

Do you think I should change the A/c Pressure switch too and does it have a check valve or will freon escape when i remove it? sadly need to go to the stealership and pay $70 for that one xD

P.S. does anyone know a good parts store in Canada that has the similar prices as rock auto xD

This is what it looks like

Also Wouldnt the A/c Manifold show if there is excessive pressure on the high or low sides? if there was tiny metal particles floating around?

You don’t need to get the sensor but doesn’t hurt to do so since the system is apart.

It is possible to see it on the manifold sometime but the filter is pretty long. It’s the height of the condenser so I don’t think it would clog to the point where you would see excessive high pressure.

Thank you again for the respose! This is the first time I'm working on the A/C System.
- Did some DD and most people are saying to do a A/C flush. So I ordered the flush gun.
- BMW forums and reviews on amazon says to go with a Solvent-based A/C Flush kit that doesnt leave residue. Sadly I can't find a good A/C flush solvent- flush in Toronto for under $200 bucks... and/or will ship but next Tuesday

Do you think I can get away with just using an air compressor and back flushing the a/c lines with air then Vaccum pumping it for like an hour
Or
Is a flush kit needed?

Note: the a/c fluid that came out of the original compressor was a dark green color, no visable metal flakes at all.
