Chip on ebay
I found this on eBay... Foes anyone know what it is? Will it give more HP? Will it work with the N55 Stage 1 from Burger Tuning?

Great link. The chip does appear to be a scam. I thought it might have been, however I am getting frustrated with the amounts of mods I can do to enhance performance in the 535i. Does anyone know of the best mods for the power?

There is a thread about Performance Imports tuning. I think it may be the solution for you. Also, Eurocharged in Texas. I think they have a tune with 2 stages for a fair price. you should give them a call. |

There are a number of mods you can do for power. I'd be leery of anyone offering a performance chip for the price quoted in that Ebay post. Best go with one of the reputable brands that will offer you quality and proven results.
Plenty of options out there as far as tunes go, but you'd want to look at the Procede by Vishnu, the JB3 by Burger Motorsports, ESS and Active Autowerke also have tunes for the N55 motor also. You may also want to consider a downpipe for the N55 motor. The chip and downpipe are the single two most important mods you can do for this car, and for under 1500 dollars you can have close to a gain of 80HP at the wheels. |

But will downpipe void the warranty? especially the catless one? Finally, does Catless downpipe make it louder and smells bad? |

Are you saying that all the downpipes for the N55 will work on the 535i? Each site I go to specifies downpipes for the 550 F10, but they don't mention the 535i.

But I thought about it. Catless is illegal. I don't think doing that is a good idea. Risk of void warranty and also breaking the law. Not worth it. |

read this thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=530426 Maybe they need a 535 to do the fitment testing. I have only seen 335 volunteers replied |
