Mine is working fine. We have two email accounts associated with my main account, one for me and one for my wife's 335d. I have to log in with her email and password to make this work but didn't have to until a few weeks ago. Until then I was using mine. Weird.

On my 2011 550I I was able to unlock the doors, flashlights and it would sometimes let me locate my car. Most of the time I got an error that the car was over 1500 miles away. On my 2011 3 series I was not able to do anything. The app is really not that great in the US. I got rid of the Iphone and now have an android. I never had an issue login in.

WOW... the responses are simply OVERWHELMING !!!
So... I guess there are no solutions to this problem other than deleting the app and forgetting about it.

This issue has been complained about numerous times before. Works for some, not for others. Doesn't seem like there is any rhyme or reason. One thing to try is to call BMW assist or BMW and ask to change your email address associated with the account. Wait a day for it to propagate and try the app again.

Either way, I really don't want this on my iPad, I want on my HTC Thunderbolt (Android 2.1) or my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Android 3.1). I did read on AutoBlog in October that this was going to be released for ANDROID Platform, however it is NOT in the Android Market, and I can not find an APK file on the web to push to the device to install the app. Can anyone with ANDROID confirm where you downloaded the app from ... and even better, if you can copy the APK file off of your device, and post here that way everyone could download and install from 5post, as it has been a b**** to find the app online for android platform. I have a 2011 535 and it's working fine. I got an error initially when using the password I gave the BMW Assist people; it looks like after a week it still did not take. I then tried using the password listed on the vehicle recovery certificate my dealer gave me and it worked. The password was my first name, all lower caps, if that helps.

If you already have an account, open iTunes. From the menu bar choose Store > Sign Out. Click iTunes Store (on the left side of the iTunes window) and pick your country by clicking the appropriate country flag located in the bottom-right corner of the main iTunes Store page. Navigate to the App Store by clicking on App Store from the top navigation bar. Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must download and install a free app. To find a free app, navigate to the Top Charts column on the right hand side of the App Store window. Scroll down until you can see the list of Free Apps. Select any app by clicking on it, then click Free App underneath the app icon. Purchase a free application by clicking get app. In the pop-up window, click Create New Account. You are directed to the "Welcome to the iTunes Store" screen. Click Continue. You'll need to read and agree to the iTunes Store Terms & Conditions. Make sure you check the box next to where it says "I have read and agree to the iTunes Terms and Conditions." Click Continue. Enter your email address, create your password, continue to create and answer your security question, then enter your birthday. Click Continue. Select None as the payment option. Continue to fill out the required name and address fields. You'll then see a screen that says 'Verify your Account'. Click Done and then check your email for a verification email from iTunes Store. Open the email and click the link enclosed in the email to activate your account.

I just installed it. I am able to honk my horn twice, and unlock and lock doors. I was also successful and sending a destination to the car as well. It takes a few minutes to execute, and occasionally the car does not respond. I am wondering if it makes a difference if I am transmitting via Wi-Fi or cellular data in regards to reliability and response time??
