Holy macaroni, BMW is offering unbelievable deals on '13 F10 550's.
My long term sales gal just called me and offered a 2013 550xi MSport with (5) miles on the odometer for 7.75% under sticker, 63% residual and .00130 MF.
That's insane. Why would anyone buy one of these beautiful things when they're teasing such a great lease? Plus, they offered me what I think is pretty much retail price for my dear beloved 335i. I love that car but I hate owning German cars outside of warranty! Are these sorts of offers normal right now? Shouldn't a loaded up 550 be like USD 900/1000 a month? |

deals
Picked up a 550i with sticker at 77k in Sept 2013. got 12k miles per year with lease payment of $926 per month. I feel that is a great deal. Maybe they got a bit cheaper now.

new to forum, but i would think some people don't lease for a few different reasons. drive more miles than lease calls for, would rather own than lease, have resale value, old fashion and don't like paying rent, pride of ownership, leasing also gets confusing at times, just some thoughts. but by the posts sounds like they are getting some better deals out their

That said, BMW appears to be more interested in the leasing model for customers. Sure, they'll sell you a car, but it seems they'd rather lease you one. The proof of my claim is my above example. |

For what it is, the payment on this 550xi seems like a really great value. |

Actually the purchase price is extremely important...you do not negotiate the payments..you 1st negotiate the actual sales price then work with the payments off that...if you let a dealer negotiate only payments then you are going to get taken advantage of.

That's why I wrote "as important" as opposed to say 'not important'. With leasing, the single most important factor is the total of payments for the variable of time. For example: if the purchase price for a specific BMW is 500,000 for 36 months but the leasor agrees to repurchase the vehicle for 499,999 at the end of the term, did purchase price matter as much as the residual? I recognize this a ridiculous example but it underscores the point. . Last edited by mryakanisachoad; 01-23-2013 at 06:19 PM.. |

If the rate is the same and the residual is reasonable, unless you intend to get rid of the car before the lease is up then leasing is most likely the cheapest option out there. But that is just me..... I do wish that leasing was a cheap here in Canada as it is in the US. |

Ok, so I wound up at 699 for 36 on 550xi MSport. 10,000 miles but I can buy miles for 16 cents if I need 'em which I most likely won't. Paid taxes and fees plus dealer add-ons (window tinting) up front. I'm ignorantly blissful!

That sounds like a pretty decent deal, what was the total out of pocket (minus dealer add ons)?

I got 750 loyalty cash which basically offset destination. So I think out-of-pocket was like 6000? |
