Code 2TB on a 205 F10
I have experience with both both the Sport auto and normal auto in the F10, and the Sport auto is my choice no 1
Just got a 2013 F10 530d x-drive with 205 and I want to try the 2TB coding on it. I do not care about the nice short sport auto shifter and the paddles, I do not want to retrofit them. Just want the software which gets me faster shifting times. Any one done this? What what ecu's need coding after I change VO. Is it as simple as that? Or will the gearbox need new software? |

FA (VO) Replace 205 with 2TB.
Code new FA in ECUs EGS, and GWS. Simple as that, and no new software for the gearbox, but I never noticed faster shifting times...this did change the display mode to be S1, S2, S3, etc.

- KOMBI in order to show Sport + in the cluster ? - CID in order to show animation in CIC? Thank you in advance Last edited by quicksilv86; 04-29-2016 at 08:36 AM.. |

I think that this is not related to the gear shifter functionality. The rocker switch on the center console is what causes Eco/Comfort/Sport/Sport + modes to be selected and displayed in the Cluster. The change with this coding is that the gear indicator will show S1, S2, etc. instead of the simple S or D that we normally see. - CID in order to show animation in CIC? Is this what you are looking for? Enable Sports Display menu when switching to sport driving mode HU_CIC=>KOMBI=>SPA_SPORT_ENABLE=>aktiv Again, this is requires that rocker switch which changes the driving mode.

For me, add 2TB and code ECUs should allow, in particular, to see "Sport+" -in the cluster like the 2 photos i attach -in the CIC screen like the photo i attach. So, could you please confirm (or not) coding only GWS and EGS ecus is enough to see this ??? Thank you in advance, |

I believe that the rocker switch in the attached picture is the only way you will be able to change between Eco/Comfort/Sport/Sport + and to see the status in your Cluster and iDrive.
The gear shift indicator is what you will see differently in your Cluster (S1, S2, S3, etc...).

I think i'm not clear. I dont have sport+ in my car: only 3 status eco/comfort/sport i can change indeed with the rocker switch. My aim is to add this sport+ status in the cluster and idrive. And i thought adding 2tb could be the solution... That's why i asked you previously if i needed to code Kombi...thinking without coding this ecu, the status sport+ in cluster and idrive would not appear.... |

So by adding this "sport+" to non-sport+ vehicles, will you see any difference at all in driving? I have the eco/comfort/sport only. I would definitely try this if there is any gain from adding it.

Not really.... Sport+ just automatically disables part of the traction control. I think it enables DSC.

The sport transmission is really good : 7 speeds in sport mode vs 8 in DS mode...It seems more brutal and i like that ! |

I coded 2TB on my 520D without paddles shift steering wheel. all working just fine but showing error paddleshift connection is open or something like that.
How can I remove this? or 2TB got to be with paddle shift steering wheel? |
