New 2011 550i Owner
Hi everyone. Just picked up my first BMW last week after trading in my old C350. Found this 2011 550i with 88,000 miles on the odometer. It's Black Sapphire Metallic with Venetian Beige Dakota Leather. I'm not a huge modder but there are some must haves I need to do:
1. I have an 8/10 build. I NEED COMBOX lol 2. Eventually some exhaust. Idk what I really wanna do with that right now 3. And just maybe some new wheels. I'm sure I have a lot to learn about BMWs but I think I picked a great place to start! Any other Fresno/Cen Cal members roaming around on here? Last edited by JW203L; 02-08-2017 at 12:12 AM.. Haha thanks. It was funny, I bought this at a Honda dealership and they had big Honda logos on the front & back plates. Definitely had to take the front plate holder off completely but then I found out I had my old CPO BMW plates from my last car and ended up covering the rear plate.

nice car! and congrats!
i take all dealer plates off, they aint paying me to advertise, so no need for me to keep the dealer tags or the lic plate frames! just a pet peeve...i remember back in the day they used to put the dealer decal on the trunk lid, both my parents oldsmobiles in the 80's had that....my dad had a detailer take them off too looking forward to seeing more! |

Route66 has been discussed on the forum as a well vetted warranty option. Definitely get a warranty at 88k miles! I get the heebie jeebies at the notion of going off factory warranty!! I took my car in for a normal service and oil change and they replaced coils, injectors, and turbo coolant lines....I can't even imagine what that tab would have been!!!!

I did get a hold of Route 66, but was told they only offer their warranty through financial institutions. And the nearest partner is a credit union 150mi away. Lol, I bought this car without as much research as I should have and realized how important a warranty is for this thing. I'm so used to not having a warranty. Although the dealership I bought it from was pretty up front with me. They strongly advised I don't purchase the warranty they had available because it was over 5k and had trashy coverage. |

You could do this:
No need to be anywhere near the credit union. I have Penfed/Route66 and have no idea where their branches are. |
