203banshee Build / MOD thread
So as you guys know I bought the car almost 2 months ago. I purchased more things for it than I thought I would ( modding is addicting kids ).
Therefore, I decided to make a little mod thread for the car. I hesitate to call it a build thread because its really not. Just some tasteful OEM+ mods is my goal. Anyways, onto the only important part of this. PICS. The day I purchased it. First mod was rear spacers. H&R 20mm spacers make the rear wheels sit flush with the fenders. A little tire poke makes it look really meaty and that's good IMO. Added some side skirt extensions. I love the way these look, simple and to the point. I also painted the calipers. I did some minor details on the inside. Red igniton button. Updated the software, and started some coding using Carly. LED fogs. They look great, poor light output though. I will changing to better bulbs, or HID soon. Than I went and purchased some more stuff. Black kidney grilles. Rear diffuser, rear spoiler lip, and front lip. All carbon fiber. My favorite mods yet. And that's all for now folks. I will try and get some better pictures sometime as well. Sorry for all the driveway pics haha . |

Finally got around to doing the muffler delete and I am pretty happy. Did it on Saturday morning and did plenty of driving since then.
My thoughts are as follows. It sounds great, but it is not quiet by any means. The cold start is LOUD. Not straight pipe loud but just loud. It is however, a deep throaty sound so it is not "ricey". After warm up , it becomes very civilized. I would compare it be about 20% louder than my wife's X3 with an actual M-sport exhaust ( which also has a surprisingly loud cold start ). I have noticed It quiets up in higher RPM's and tends to be louder during low - mid range rpms (comfort mode). I have almost zero drone on the highway. But you can definetly hear the exhausts tone. The delete definitely sounds great (close to that of an aftermarket exhaust). As for the wife test, she commented it was a tad loud but once the car warmed up it was ok. More importantly, pictures. Looks good man! Did you color match your front reflectors as well? Also which LED Fog lights did you get, any warning lights afterwards?

No color matched reflectors. They havent bothered me enough , yet. No error/warning lights on the fogs. They are just amazon error free canbus LED lights. Light output sucks though. I will be going HID soon.
