My current N55, 335xi has now 370HP from 300 and 500 tq from 300. He said the exhaust set up contributed significantly to the output. I did have the CP, DP (catless) and straight pipe set up. Wagner intercooler as well. Hands down this is the most I've ever had with a tune. Keep in mind this is obviously just scratching the surface as a beginner. I only run 93. The pull is continuous and constant which is a blast! It's well worth the money imo! |

I used Frank Smiths shop Tuning Tech over in Crofton Md. I've said in previous posts even he had never gotten so much out of a basically stock car except of course the aforementioned bits I installed. Sure I could keep going to the limits but it was my daily driver at the time. I just wanted a fighting chance against an EVO.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have a 2012 550i with N63. Still looking to get improvements, all I want is a little more responsive and quicker acceleration.
I was looking at JB4, but someone suggested looking at activeautowerke. I looked at their website, it looks like the chip tune is only for N63TU or S63TU. Can someone correct me please? |

QUOTE=Hb_z;24092518]The smell of the catless downpipe is really bad[/QUOTE]
I dont even smell it anymore unless im standing behind the car. The only thing about catless downpipe is that if i havent done any WOT runs in few days then I get that black smoke the next time I do WOT from 1st gear. |

Go jb4+Bcm or the bad black tune. Those seem to have the best results on the n63. Should easily be able to make 100whp more without any other mods. N63 doesn’t need an upgraded charge pipe or intercooler (m5 or alpine) to make 500+whp.

I would get Bm3 or Active Autowerke since you have catless downpipe
