They make 2 port versions also or you can just cap one of the extra ports Last edited by Sophisticated Redneck; 11-20-2019 at 12:34 PM.. |

The fittings I use are for -AN to NPT so I can use braided line. I reccomend just getting the Barb fitting unless you want to do braided -AN lines which make it bullet proof but add alot of expense. (If you really want to let me know and I'll dig up all the part numbers I used) |

I would stay away from brass if possible. Aluminum does not mix with brass very well and will corrode.

After doing valve cover gasket and other jobs on my car. I noticed small amount of oil residue inside the intake side of intercooler. Im sure this will help filter the oil from getting in.

While it's true brass and aluminum don't play well together (galvanic corrosion), that is mainly in wet seawater environments. My pressure valves as you can see are brass and I have over 50,000 miles on them with no signs of pitting or corrosion on the catch can since it's just a dry/oil environment.

This project is on hold anyway as we're dealing with a substantial roof leak after our last deluge. Turns out 25 years ago when they built the house, nailing down the roof tiles was (apparently) optional and a whole row slipped. We're out of our master and the family room below. Thankfully no mold! |

Well... The SS fittings don't fit either. Apparently contrary to the description, the stock fittings are NOT 3/8" npt. I checked and the threads do not line-up.
Oh well... Back to the drawing board. |

Well, I bought that catch-can; though from Amazon, not eBay. I'll update on installation. Well, so long as I remember |

I have been using them for years now and know this as fact so unless they changed something recently with the latest production, you must have a different unit. Taking a picture of the catch can you have would really help too. |

Basically catch cans with the bronze filter are about 3 times more effective then a CC without it in my experience, catching in one month what would take a non-filtered CC about 3 months to do. They are more maintenance though as you must clean or replace the bronze filter every 8-10K miles or it will clog up. Worth it IMHO. |

I'm very interested in the product and read some reviews. Certain cans are shipped with M16 threads instead of 3/8" NPT. I'm not sure if there is M16 to 3/4" hose (or 19mm).
I guess I'll order one and see how it goes. |

Is there a chance to clamp the 3/4" hose on the 1/2" barb and make it work?
Its hard to find the right fitting, but still prefer the bronze filter over the free flow one. |

That's why I plan on putting either copper or bronze mesh in the baffle. |
